AIG Women’s Open hosts Royal Porthcawl Golf Club has won an award from Wales Golf in the year they are about the host the biggest female sporting event ever held in Wales. 

The first Welsh-based Captain of The Royal and Ancient Golf Club was recognised with a Lifetime Achievement Award at the Wales Golf Awards Lunch held at Celtic Manor.

The Wales Golf Awards, which recognise the best in Welsh golf, are to return next year following a four-year gap caused by the pandemic.
