The International Olympic Committee has approved the addition of a new mixed team event, which will debut at the Olympic Games Los Angeles 2028, and complement the existing men’s and women’s individual events.

Just two weeks after the US Open’s return to the Los Angeles area after a 75-year hiatus, the the USGA has announced that The Riviera Country Club has been chosen to host the 131st US Open Championship, which will take place from June 12-15, 2031.

The USGA has signed a main sponsor for the US Women’s Open that has allowed it to nearly double the championship’s prize fund to $10 million in 2022.
