67-yea-old Ipswich Golf Club General Manager Neill Ellice is retiring from his position after 18 years at the club which has recently completed a full bunker refurbishment of the Purdis Heath Course – ranked among the top 100 in England

Work on the Purdis Heath Course was planned under the guidance of renowned golf course architect Martin Hawtree, grandson of original architect Fred Hawtree, who designed it along with golfing legend James Braid

The Purdis Heath Course had 20 of its bunkers reconstructed to restore them to their original styling when the course was constructed in 1926
