Golf clubs across the Scottish Highlands have got together to tee up an exciting amateur photography competition, with cash prizes and green fee vouchers to world famous courses up for grabs for the winners and high commended entries.

Golf tourism is providing a welcome financial boost to clubs across the Highlands, with research for Golf Highland, a group representing more than 30 clubs across the region, revealing that visitor income over the last six years has soared from £5.8m to over £9m. 

The High 9s Tour takes in some of the most scenic courses in the north of Scotland – from the dramatic coastal setting of Durness Golf Club on the north cost of Sutherland, to the Scots pine woods of Abernethy Golf Club in the heart of Speyside.
