The Trustees of St Andrews Links Trust have elected Dr Duncan Lawrie as their new Chairman following Bill Ritchie’s decision to stand down after three years in the chair

On the eve of the Millennium Open past Champion golfers will be granted the Freedom of the Links by the St Andrews Links Trust. Each will receive a hand-made embossed certificate and a silver bag tag. In the history of the Links this honour has been granted only on very rare occasions
