Global Edition Unveils Mobile Tee-Time Booking Service

Via the new ‘mobile’ website – – golfers can conveniently search, select and purchase tee times in just a few clicks using their mobile phones. They can also take advantage of the same deals currently available on the main site, enjoying savings of up to 85%.

The innovative site offers golfers 24 hour-a-day access and has been developed with the latest cloud technology – specifically for hassle-free mobile phone use. The graphic and text-light format of the mobile website allows for faster page uploads, minimal data usage, and quick, user-friendly search and navigation capabilities.

Golfers can not only view information on the 600+ UK golf clubs and resorts currently partnered with, but also book tee times instantaneously at their selected course directly from their mobile phones.

By using the phone’s GPS system, users can quickly find available tee times at courses in their immediate vicinity or within a 100-mile radius of their location. Alternatively, they can use the mobile website to searchby postcode, region or county for the best tee-time deals. Golfers can also check tee-time availability at their preferred club by typing the name directly into the search field.

Booking tee times online is now a recognised way of purchasing green fees, in the same way people buy concert tickets, hotel rooms and flights online.

The mobile website is currently only available to iPhone and Android phone users; however, the company is already planning to develop the site for users of other mobile operating systems, such as Blackberry and Windows, later in the year. has been instrumental in the rise in popularity of booking tee-times online. In just the first two months of trading in 2011, it has achieved an incredible189% year-on-year growth for the same period last year and is set for a bumper 12 months.
