Murrayshall House Hotel will celebrate the 35th anniversary of the opening of its first golf course in 2016 with a special campaign highlighting its unique offering.

Scotland’s leading independent country house hotel with two golf courses is encouraging guests to enjoy a truly authentic Perthshire welcome this year with its Tee off, Taste and Relax campaign.

Combining luxurious accommodation, delicious Scottish cuisine, the warmth of a Highland welcome at the hearth of a roaring fire and top class parkland golf in the stunning setting of the Vale of Strathmore, Murrayshall is one of Scotland’s best kept secrets.

The new campaign captures these unique elements which define Murrayshall and is aimed at encouraging people in east and central Scotland, in particular, to enjoy a short golfing break within easy driving distance this summer.

Alan Reid, the Operations Manager of Murrayshall, said, ʺWe wanted to do something special this year to mark 35 years since our first golf course opened. A lot has changed in that time and the courses have matured as the facilities have developed and modernised but we pride ourselves on continuing to offer the same traditional warm welcome to our guests as we did then.

ʺThe Tee off, Taste and Relax campaign celebrates our wonderful two AA rosette cuisine, our stunning independent country house hotel setting and our challenging and enjoyable golf courses. We have received consistently excellent ratings from TripAdvisor and we know that many of our guests return but we want to remind people closer to home that we are the ideal destination for a short break to get away from all the stresses of daily life.ʺ

Murrayshall recently won the ‘The best value for money under £50’ award at the Scottish Golf Tourism awards and is ranked in Golf World’s top 100 courses in Scotland. The resort boasts two courses, the Murrayshall, which first opened in 1981, and Lynedoch courses, designed by leading English course architect, Hamilton J Stutt.

A range of professional and amateur events have been played at Murrayshall over the years including PGA events and the Scottish Golf National Finals and it is home to the Paul Lawrie Scottish Schools Championship.

Extremely popular as a venue for golf outings and coaching programmes, Murrayshall offers excellent 18 bay driving range and short game practice area with a team of PGA professionals on hand to provide expert tuition.

The Tee off, Taste and Relax campaign offers special tailored packages for overnight stays, dining and golf each for £99.
