Booking a golf holiday can often be a time-consuming process but GOLFBOO is proving that is doesn’t have to be with the launch of GameBOO, a quick-fire, fun and educational game that highlights the simplicity of its live tee-time booking system and gives one golfer the chance to win a dream golf holiday for two.
Created as an entertaining and interactive competition, GameBOO invites golfers to simulate the process of creating a tee-time booking with GOLFBOO, just to prove how easily and quickly it can be done.
The game opened for play on 15th May, with the person who achieves the quickest time for ‘reserving’ two tee times at their choice of GOLFBOO partner courses winning a fabulous weekend break for two on the Costa del Sol. This includes a two-night stay in Marbella, two rounds of golf, flights and airport transfers.
The company’s Director, Fabio Peral, is confident that GameBOO will allow users to discover just how simple it can be to finalise their next golf holiday with GOLFBOO, further enhancing the growing popularity of the state-of-art online system.
He said: “GameBOO creates a fun and engaging competition of the GOLFBOO system, which is itself designed to enhance the experience of the golfer while booking their holiday.
“GOLFBOO has not only been designed to bring the best-value and best-quality package deals into one place, it also makes booking part of the holiday. In that way, the experience starts from the moment the user logs-on to our site.
“We think that playing GameBOO will give golfers an insight into how exciting and completely user-friendly it is to book with GOLFBOO and we expect to see some very fast times, indeed.”
Once logged-on to http://game.golfboo.com/en users will be presented with the competition challenge: reserve two separate tee times for two people on two different days in 2014. One course must be at home and the other abroad, and the booking must not exceed the value of 250€. There is a limit of five minutes for each participant to complete the challenge but Peral expects the winning time to be a good deal quicker.
“Given the simplicity of the system, we would expect the winning time to be well under one minute,” he added. “From our research, we know that people don’t want to spend hours online being overloaded with information and, ultimately, being confused.
“GOLFBOO offers a one-stop shop where, very much like airline and hotel search websites like Skycanner or Trivago, users can be certain they are exposed to the very best value tee times and packages without having to go site-hopping. We think that GameBOO will give users a terrific insight into what our website is all about.”
Delivering more power to the consumer, GOLFBOO is the only golf-specific service which simultaneously searches hundreds of travel websites for over 6,000 packages from more than 65 tour operators, plus an unrivalled abundance of golf course and accommodation options.
The clever system uses the details entered by the consumer to return information on the availability of tee times and the most suitable hotels, producing only the most accurate options as per their selected fields.
GOLFBOO’s unique range of services also extends to the stay-at-home golfer through its partnerships with tee time booking services GolfSwitch, Concept and BookAndGolf. These allow golfers to select their starting slots at an unrivalled number of courses across the UK and further afield from the comfort of their own home.
GOLFBOO has already seen significant traffic from mature European markets and has experienced continued month-on-month growth. Available in five languages and six currencies, the digital platform creates great appeal from a consumer and trade perspective, with further partnerships being finalised in the UK, German, Swedish, Dutch and Norwegian markets.
Throughout this summer, GameBOO will take to the road to visit three European Tour events in key markets – at the Nordea Masters, BMW International Open and Alstom Open de France – where more terrific prizes will be on offer to spectators attending the events from GOLFBOO’s position in the tented village.
