Pula polishes up facilities ahead of new season

3.03pm 14th March 2022 - Travel

Pula Golf Resort is looking forwards to an exciting year following the opening of several new facilities, including the first TrackMan driving range system to be installed in Mallorca.

The accommodation suites have also seen some major investments to include impressive kitchen facilities as well as the unveiling of a state-of-the-art gym and spa as part of a large investment plan that is hoped to further boost the offering of the resort.

Considered one of the finest golf venues on the island, Pula Golf Resort’s course was redesigned by José María Olazábal between 2004 and 2006, with the resort having hosted the European Tour on eight separate occasions.

As well as the par-72, 6246m course, there is also a state-of-the-art fitting centre, golf coaching, private lessons, and as of 2022, a brand-new TrackMan system in the two-tiered range.

The software, which opened in March, allows users to track and view ball speed, carry, launch angle, precise distances and shot shaping, making for the ideal warm-up location ahead of a round on the course.

The TrackMan system is not just for the tech-savvy golf expert either. Fun mini-games such as ‘Longest Drive’, ‘Nearest-to-the-Pin’ and ‘Bull’s Eye’, allows guests to compete against each other and the leaderboards, the system opening up golfing to a whole new audience of beginners and families.

Once the golf is over, Pula Golf Resort still has plenty of Mallorcan charm to impress its guests. The S’era de Pula Restaurant overlooks the resort and enjoys a menu supplied by their 6000m2 vegetable garden, establishing it as one of the elite Mallorcan restaurants.

Guests can then retire back to their accommodation, with a huge choice of rooms and suites, many of which have gone through recent restoration.

Set in the Finca, which was built in 1581, the hotel has 10 stunning rooms all of which went through a period of major investment as recently as last year, having been first opened back in 1997.

There are also 21 free-standing suites, seven of which have been finished in the early stages of 2022 to include brand-new kitchen layouts that help to provide rustic charm and a relaxed atmosphere.

Guests enjoy their time in the Mallorcan sun by the outdoor swimming pool, whilst also taking time to experience the modern gym, sauna and spa facilities.

The gym and spa, which were also opened alongside the TrackMan system, include a range of state-of-the-art gym technology, an indoor swimming pool, jacuzzi, sauna, Turkish bath, Scottish shower and even a range of relaxing massages.

Arnau Sala, general manager at Pula Golf Resort, said: “It is an incredibly exciting period for Pula Golf Resort, both in terms of the golf and the leisure areas. We have seen a lot of change in the 26 years we have been welcoming golfers, and this may be the biggest single spell of investment we have had.

“The addition of the TrackMan has been an exciting development to the driving range, and when paired with the refreshed accommodation and stunning golf course, we believe we have something exceptional to offer golfers travelling to the island.”
