Pioneering travel specialist Golfbreaks.com has extended their PGA Partner agreement for a further three years.

The Windsor-based company, the brainchild of chief executive Andrew Stanley who set out in 1998 with a vision to make booking golf breaks as simple as possible, will also continue to sponsor the popular PGA Fourball Championship until 2017.

Golfbreaks.com enjoys a close relationship with both The PGA and many of its members giving them added business opportunities through organised golf break and tuition trips to leading golf resorts and locations.

As a PGA Partner, Golfbreaks.com will be part of an extensive network of leading golf companies and also continue to help PGA pros develop the golf travel side of their golf operations with all the associated benefits of taking groups of club members away on golf holidays both here in the UK and further afield in Europe, America and worldwide.

Closer to home Golfbreaks.com is backing the PGA Fourball Championship which this year will see seven regional finals on some of the UK’s best layouts, culminating in the £33,250 grand final at Carden Park over its Nicklaus course in August.

Robert Maxfield, The PGA’s deputy chief executive, said: “Golf tourism and travel is increasing while more and more PGA Members are taking groups of club members on golfing trips so we are delighted Golfbreaks.com has extended their PGA Partner status.

“Many PGA Members already work closely with Golfbreaks.com and we look forward to this relationship going from strength to strength.

“We are also really pleased Golfbreaks.com will continue to sponsor the PGA Fourball Championship which is always one of the most popular on the PGA schedule, enabling our members to not only compete which they love doing but also offering them a rare opportunity to team up with old friends and colleagues in a shared passion.”

Adam Ward, Golfbreaks.com director of golf pro relations commented:  “We are delighted to continue both our much-valued partnership with The PGA and our sponsorship of one of its flagship tournaments, building on the success of the last three years.

“We have a long-standing commitment to working with The PGA and its members, and this extension underlines that desire to support Pros and make golf travel an integral part of their business.”

Golfbreaks.com has a dedicated Golf Pro Relations team to help PGA pros keen to build golf travel into their revenue streams.

Led by Ward, himself PGA qualified, plus fellow PGA pros Darren Bragg and Ben Foster, the team works closely to ensure the smooth running and organisation of golf trips, and is particularly helpful to those taking a first step in this sector of the golf travel business.
