HowDidiDo has partnered with Hilton to launch the ‘Hilton HowDidiDo Golfer of the Month’, which offers amateur golfers the chance to win exclusive prizes including a once-in-a-lifetime trip to Dubai and a place in the Hilton Invitational.

Around 2,000 UK&I golf clubs use HowDidiDo.com, which automatically records competition scores and adjusts handicaps accordingly. And, now, every club golfer on the site whose handicap drops by at least one full stroke in any calendar month will be put forward to be considered for the title of ‘Hilton HowDidiDo Golfer of the Month’.

Each monthly amateur winner will have their picture profiled on the Hilton HHonors Board on the Hilton website, which also profiles the professional winner of ‘Hilton European Tour Golfer of the Month’.

All amateur winners are then in with the chance to be selected to win a dream trip for two to the climax of the European Tour season in Dubai and a place in the Hilton Invitational, taking place at the Emirates Golf Club , Dubai, on Monday, 23 November.

The prize will include flights, accommodation and a round of golf on the Majlis course at Emirates Golf Club, home to the European Tour’s Dubai Desert Classic, and a ticket to watch the European Tour finale. Each month, winners will also receive a two-night stay voucher – which can be redeemed at any Hilton property around the world – and 25,000 Hilton HHonors Points.

Barry Dyett, managing director of HowDidiDo Media, explained: “HowDidiDo monitors performance against handicap for more than 1.3 million UK&I club golfers, which means this competition is open to all of them.

“If their handicap drops by one full shot or more in any given month we will contact them and ask them how they are improving and what they’re looking to do to continue that improvement. One lucky golfer will then be chosen as the golfer of the month and, at the end of October, one of the five monthly winners will learn they have won a trip to Dubai.

“At HowDidiDo, we are always looking to enter into commercial partnerships with brands which offer tangible additional benefits for our members and this agreement with Hilton stands out because every HowDidiDo member can, feasibly, win the ultimate prize. We’re delighted to be working with one of the world’s leading hospitality brands and look forward to a long and mutually beneficial relationship.”

Hilton became the European Tour’s Official Hotel Supplier in 2014 and extended its relationship in April, becoming the presenting partner of the ‘Hilton European Tour Golfer of the Month’ award.

HowDidiDo is Europe’s largest golfing community, holding in excess of 21 million rounds of golf along with the handicaps, results and scores of more than 1,300,000 UK golf club members, with more than 460,000 golfers currently using the website.

Around 2,000 golf clubs currently use the HowDidiDo system, allowing members to analyse their game and compare performance with other players – at their own club or across the entire HowDidiDo network. It is also used for official CONGU handicapping and competition results.

HowDidiDo, in association with the Daily Telegraph, is also currently engaged in a widespread campaign with the BOSS Watches H1 Club to reward all its registered golfers with a luxury timepiece should they record a hole-in-one during an official club competition.

It also powers the annual Titleist Order of Merit (OOM), the largest golf event of its kind in the country, which now sees more than 20,000 golfers take part each year – making it one of the UK’s most subscribed sporting competitions, behind only events like the London Marathon and Great North Run – and the Morocco Matchplay, a UK singles and pairs competition culminating in a grand final in the North African country, in February.
