Golf blogger David Jones, who runs the UK Golf Guy website, has launched a map of Scotland which shows every golf course in Scotland playable by members of the public.
The idea for the map came when David was planning a family motorhome staycation last year. He realised that while he knew where most of the big-name Scottish golf courses were, there were many lesser-known courses which were harder to discover.
The ‘Golf Course Map of Scotland’ shows the location of 569 Scottish golf courses, detailing the number of holes at each. It also highlights the Top 100 courses in Scotland.
The map also includes details of journey times between some of the main Scottish courses to help with planning a trip.
Jones said, “Scotland has so many wonderful golf courses to discover, I hope this map will help golfers plan their Scottish golf trips. Whether Scots planning a staycation this year or foreign tourists dreaming of future visits, I hope the map will act as inspiration for everyone!”
