Mauritius updates Covid travel protocols

11.32am 1st October 2021 - Travel

Fully vaccinated travellers will now be able to resume holidays to Mauritius as of October 1, following an announcement made by the Mauritius Tourism Promotion Authority.

All visitors to the island over the age of 18 must be fully vaccinated and must present a negative PCR test taken within 72 hours from their last point of embarcation. COVID-19 testing will also be required upon arrival and on day 5 of their stay. It is mandatory to take out COVID-19 insurance health cover.

All travellers must fill out the health forms before or during their flight to Mauritius. These include the passenger locator form and the health self-declaration form.

Children under the age of 18 are exempt from vaccination status at this time, but will still need to show a negative result on a PCR test taken no more than 72 hours before arrival in Mauritius.
