La Cala Resort continues to improve its offering to guests with the further completion of a second phase of upgrades to its golf clubhouse.
After completing a first phase of renovations to the clubhouse’s outdoor patio area last year, the four-star Spanish resort has continued making improvements with changes to the bar and restaurant.
The updated look to the interiors provides a refreshed, modern feel, as well as featuring an improved seating area and stylish furniture.
Modern and spacious, the new interior layout features sliding doors all around, bringing in even more light to the entire room and providing open areas in which guests can enjoy unrestricted views overlooking the golf course, hotel and distant Andalusian countryside.
As part of this update, Head Chef Brian Deegan has launched an all-new menu which includes a new signature dish, ‘The Irish Angus Steak Sandwich’. A subtle nod to La Cala’s Irish owners, FBD Hotels and Resorts, the sandwich features gruyere cheese, watercress, cos leaves and a horseradish and sour cream dressing, offering an Irish twist to what is Spanish-themed menu.
In a room next to the bar and restaurant, the renovated clubhouse will also include a sports-style lounge area filled with TVs and comfortable seating for guests to relax in and watch televised sports events.
“We are constantly looking at ways to improve our product to deliver the best possible experience for guests at La Cala,” says Sean Corte-Real, Resort General Manager. “The team at La Cala is highly driven to make this beautiful resort the very best it can be. This clubhouse upgrade is the latest in an ongoing drive to ensure our facilities are setting the standard in every department. It’s exciting for the future, as we continue to get better and better.”
Last week saw IAGTO golf tour operators honour La Cala with an Outstanding Service Award, a title which only eight other resorts in Spain received in this year’s awards. This award follows recent recognition from Golf World’s Top 100 World Resorts rankings which rated La Cala as the 73rd best golf resort in the world.
