The investment programme enables year-round play, extending the golf season and supporting participation across The QHotels Collection’s championship venues.
The QHotels Collection has invested significantly across its golf portfolio over the past five years, enhancing course infrastructure, drainage, and conditioning to ensure its championship venues remain playable 12 months of the year.
This commitment to continual improvement has allowed the Collection to extend the golfing season well beyond the traditional summer months, creating more opportunities for golfers to stay active, competitive, and connected to the game all year round.
Building on that investment, The QHotels Collection is launching its Winter Open Competitions for the 2025/26 season. Running from November 2025 through to February 2026, the series will take place across the Collection’s seven championship golf resorts.
With formats such as Betterballs, AM/AMs, and festive-themed scrambles, the Winter Opens provide players of all abilities the chance to compete, socialise, and experience championship-quality golf even in the colder months.
Keith Pickard, Golf, Health Club & Spa Director at The QHotels Collection, said: “Over the past five years, we’ve focused on sustained investment into our courses to improve playability, drainage, and overall quality. This work has enabled us to keep our courses open and ensuring golfers can enjoy championship conditions all year round. Initiatives like our Winter Opens not only make the most of these improvements but also support our wider goal of growing the game.”
Golfers can also take advantage of the Winter Golf Membership, offering unlimited play for up to five months from November 2025 to 31 March 2026, with additional benefits including 10% off in the pro shop and the opportunity to upgrade to full membership.
The Winter Opens and Membership form part of The QHotels Collection’s continued commitment to growing participation, enhancing accessibility, and delivering exceptional year-round golf experiences across its seven championship resorts.
