In the important new business partnership with Murcia Tourism Board, the region’s official body responsible for attracting visitors to the region, will help promote this attractive area of south-east Spain as a destination for UK golfers and their families.

With the start of the traditional UK golf season in March, launched an extensive campaign spotlighting the attractiveness of the Murcia region for visiting golfers. The objective was to raise awareness of this popular destination and showcase the wide choice of available breaks.

With new developments, including La Torre Golf Resort, Roda, Hacienda del Alamo, Serena and Peraleja, along with a host of new signature golf courses crafted by some of the world’s finest designers – Jack Nicklaus, Seve Ballesteros and Dave Thomas courses all feature in the area – Murcia is rapidly positioning itself as one of Europe’s finest golfing regions.

It’s pedigree is reinforced with some superb current offers to the region, including a three nights’ break at the La Torre Golf Resort from £155 or four nights’ at the popular La Manga Club from £259.

Keith added: “Murcia is blessed with an incredible climate, frequent flights (a new airport is planned for April 2011), great beaches and an abundance of culture beyond the exceptional golf. All these elements wrap together to create a stunning destination that we are proud to promote to customers.

“Following the success of 2009, this year is already looking very strong for our outbound business. We are totally committed to growing our bookings to the Murcia region of Spain, whilst continuing to grow our popular range of breaks and holidays to destinations such as The Algarve and Costa del Sol.”
