Golf Travel Centre Acquires Chaka Travel

10.54am 15th April 2020 - Travel

Golf Travel Centre has continued its growth and expansion by acquiring the assets of Chaka Travel for an undisclosed sum. Chaka Travel started in 1995 offering luxury golf holidays and for many years have been the world’s leading supplier of golf holidays to Mauritius.

Golf Travel Centre will be assisting any existing clients that may be looking to rebook their scheduled holiday. It should be noted that Golf Travel Centre has only acquired the assets of Chaka Travel but have not taken on any of their liabilities.

Patrick McCaghy, Golf Travel Centre’s Founder & Managing Director, commented: “Our product team have already been working extensively over the last 6 months to increase our Luxury Golf Travel offerings, now that we have Chaka Travel in our portfolio of brands it will allow us to accelerate our growth in that area of the business. Having operated for over 25 years Chaka Travel has built a reputation for great value luxury golf holiday offerings with faultless customer service that reaches a concierge-level. This has created a very loyal client base. We will be looking to maintain this level but also look to make improvements in all aspects of the business.

“This is an exciting new project and follows on from an incredible 2019 for Golf Travel Centre where we managed to double turnover for the third year in a row. We had also achieved a record quarter for sales at the start of 2020.

“Whilst we acknowledge that this is a challenging time for many, we are taking this opportunity to work with our global partners to enhance our product offerings and source new promotions for when normality resumes.

“We remain as committed as ever to offering golfers the very best service and experience, and I would personally like to thank our supplier partners both in the UK and overseas.”
