Golf Tourism Network to host inaugural Wisconsin Golf Tourism Week

6.00pm 1st September 2022 - Travel

The Golf Tourism Network stages its first international golf tourism event, the inaugural Wisconsin Golf Tourism Week (WGTW) which takes place from 16th – 23rd September 2022 at SentryWorld, Wisconsin, home to the 2023 US Senior US Open.

The event has exceeded all expectations with a sell-out crowd of international golf and leisure buyers as well as all of Wisconsin’s major golf, accommodation and DMC partners slated to attend.

The WGTW is an invitation only event and will showcase Wisconsin to both domestic and international golf travel and leisure travel companies from within the Golf Tourism Network looking to experience and learn how to sell one of North America’s most talked about golf destinations.

Building on the ultimate exposure of the Ryder Cup at Whistling Straits, WGTW will continue to bolster Wisconsin’s position as the most talked about up-and-coming golf destination for both domestic and international golf travellers. The week-long programme features both Pre and Post FAM offerings to discover golf across the state, whilst giving opportunities to meet with the wider Wisconsin supplier industry in an informal meeting setting.

Danny Seal, Managing Director of The Golf Tourism Network, commented: “Having recently launching The Golf Tourism Network, we are delighted to have announced our forthcoming event in Wisconsin to our 450 members so quickly.

“Wisconsin has more golf courses inside the Top 100 courses than virtually every other state but is still relatively undiscovered to international golfer so inviting the world’s best travel companies to experience everything the state has to offer will quickly accelerate its growth. Our programme features the best golf, the best non golf activities and the opportunity for our buyers to do business with the primary golf stakeholders in Wisconsin.”

Commenting on the forthcoming event on behalf of SentryWorld, Director of Golf Danny Rainbow stated: “Hosting the very first edition of the Wisconsin Golf Tourism Week is a special moment for us. We’ve known Danny for a long time, so we had no hesitation in supporting him as well as The Golf Tourism Networks first event. We are very proud of our resort and we are very much looking forward to showcasing the golf as well as our brand new hotel to the world’s best travel companies.”
