Brand officials were ‘on tour’ at the Nordea Masters over the weekend to spread the message about GOLFBOO, the one-stop shop for online golf holiday bookings.

Delivering more power to the consumer, GOLFBOO is the only golf-specific service which simultaneously searches hundreds of travel websites for over 6,000 packages from more than 65 tour operators. Billed as golf’s equivalent to SkyScanner or Trivago, the clever system uses the consumer’s details to find tee times, the most suitable hotels and the best deals, making it easier than ever to secure the golf holiday of a lifetime.

Recognising Sweden as one of its key markets – along with the UK, Germany, The Netherlands and Norway – GOLFBOO took centre stage in the tented village at PGA Sweden National to showcase its unique service, and to encourage spectators to take part in its exciting GameBOO Challenge.

Launched to prove just how easy GOLFBOO’s booking system is, GameBOO invites golfers to simulate the process of creating a tee-time booking. Once logged-on to http://game.golfboo.com/en users are presented with the competition challenge: reserve two separate tee times for two people on two different days in 2014.

The person who achieves the quickest time for ‘reserving’ their tee times at GOLFBOO partner courses will win a fabulous weekend break for two on the Costa del Sol. This includes a two-night stay in Marbella, two rounds of golf, flights and airport transfers.

As well as the Nordea Masters, GOLFBOO will be showcasing its premier service through GameBOO at the BMW International Open and the Alstom Open de France this summer, with a holiday up for grabs at each for the quickest booking time.

The big prize winner on the first leg of the GameBOO roadshow in Sweden was Anton Hajdarmetaj, one of over 500 golfers to complete the GameBOO Challenge, who recorded an impressive time of 18.76 seconds.

Delighted to introduce both GOLFBOO and GameBOO to many of 90,000 avid golfers in attendance over four days in Sweden, the company’s Director, Fabio Peral, said: “As one of Europe’s best developed golf tourism markets, bringing news of our tremendous service to golfers in Sweden is very important for us.

“The Nordea Masters is always one of the best-attended tournaments on the European Tour schedule and, of course, PGA Sweden National is an incredible venue.

“During the course of the tournament, we were able to spread the word about GOLFBOO and the feedback we received about the service, as evidenced by the number of entrants we had in GameBOO, was outstanding.

“We look forward to experiencing an influx of bookings from Scandinavian golfers as a result, and can guarantee them the best offering of courses, hotels and rates that they’ll find anywhere.”

Event organiser Magnus Soderlund of Tailor Events, the company which managed operations in the tented village, was one of the many golf fans to be attracted to the GOLFBOO exhibition.

Very impressed by the burgeoning meta-search website, which is already experiencing significant traffic from across Europe, he said: “It’s always good to see new exhibitors at our events, but it was especially good to see GOLFBOO here for the first time.

“They had a great stand, beautifully designed and had a fantastic concept, run with lots of energy and fun. The stand perfectly represented the young and dynamic company they are. “It was one of the most popular stands here, drawing a big crowd, who were all eager to give the GameBOO challenge a go.”

Golfers and non-golfers alike can try their hand at the GameBOO Challenge by visiting http://game.golfboo.com/en for a chance of winning a dream golfing holiday.
