Exclusive Collection Hotels Strengthens Golf Offering With New IAGTO Partnership

12.02pm 19th May 2023 - Travel

A trio of Exclusive Collection properties has signed up to International Association of Golf Tour Operators (IAGTO) as the brand expands its golf offering to hotel guests by teeing up a range of potential partnerships in 2023 and beyond.

Managed and operated by Exclusive Collection, Pennyhill Park in Surrey, Royal Berkshire in Ascot and The Manor House in Wiltshire all recently joined IAGTO as the group looks to increase its golf-visitor numbers, working closer with tour operators and develop relationships with even more industry partners and golf clubs.

The Manor House is home to an acclaimed par-72 parkland course within picturesque rolling countryside on the southern edge of the Cotswolds. A popular destination for visiting golfers, the Manor House has joined more than 300 golf resorts across the world by joining IAGTO as it continues to offer golf on another level.

Although both Pennyhill Park and Royal Berkshire do not have their own golf courses, their location on and close to the Surrey Sandbelt – a small corner of England containing some of the highest-quality golf courses anywhere in the world – means they are ideally located for those looking for an exceptional hotel experience while playing golf in the area.

Situated among 120 acres of Surrey parkland, Pennyhill Park is one of the county’s most luxurious spa and hotel retreats. The 19th century ivy-clad country house offers the ultimate reset button for those looking to be at their best – including those in between days of golf at the stunning courses in the area.

A home from home, Royal Berkshire provides visitors with an opportunity to take an all-important break, while also taking advantage of the major tourist destinations around the corner. If golfing nearby, guests can return and revel in the house’s period features as they unwind and enjoy the comfort on offer.

Joining IAGTO will see the organisation raise awareness of the Exclusive Collection’s golf tourism products and its destinations, and will provide them with direct access to tour operator information as well as allowing the group to visit future IAGTO convention events.

All three properties will also now have their own section on the IAGTO website, allowing those within the golf tourism industry to get in direct contact with the Exclusive Collection team to explore opportunities and partnerships.

Established in 1997 at the International Association of Golf Tour Operators, IAGTO has become recognised as the global trade organisation for the golf tourism industry. With 600-plus tour operators in more than 60 countries, IAGTO has a presence in every golf market and destination.

Stephanie Hall, group director of sales and marketing at Exclusive Collection, said: “Joining IAGTO made complete sense for us here at Exclusive Collection as we continue to expand our offering of golf to hotel guests.

“This year has already been an incredibly busy and successful period for us as a group, and we cannot wait to see what opportunities arise within the golf travel sector throughout the rest of the year and beyond.”
