As the United States continues to thrive as the fastest growing golf destination in the world, there are many opportunities to more easily visit and compete on a vast array of golf courses in Myrtle Beach, voted the world’s top golf destination.
The recent International Golf Travel Market (IGTM) in Italy revealed that the United States is the fastest growing destination in terms of the rate of growth of golf holiday sales in 2013 compared to 2012.
An IAGTO survey also demonstrated that 2014 marked a third consecutive year of growth in worldwide golf holiday sales. Earlier this year, Myrtle Beach was voted the ‘Best Golf Destination’ globally, with the recognition via the 10Best travel award contest sponsored by USA TODAY, the most widely distributed newspaper in the United States.
Golf travel entry points to Myrtle Beach recently received supportive news also. Virgin Atlantic announced that, in association with Delta Airlines, golf equipment travels at no charge from Europe through Atlanta. US Airways and British Airways also announced a deeper frequent flier relationship that includes travel from Europe into Charlotte, NC. Atlanta and Charlotte are main entryways and in close proximity to Myrtle Beach from Europe.
