ClubstoHire.com, the award-winning golf club rental company, is set to extend its presence across the Mediterranean with the opening of a new service in the Moroccan capital Marrakesh, taking the total number of hire locations across Europe and Africa to 21.
The company, which supplied a record 40,000 sets of clubs last year, first took its service to Africa in December with the opening of a facility in Cape Town and from the end of this month it will offer golfers the chance to hire clubs at Morocco’s RedCity, home to eight golf courses including three championship venues. Golfers travelling to Marrakesh airport – designed to accommodate 3 million passengers per year – will have the option of using a service that ensures their clubs are personally delivered and then picked up from just €35 per set per week.
The new service will offer the latest sets from TaylorMade, Callaway and Wilson Staff to travelling golfers looking to play the likes of Ladies European Tour courses Ala Maaden and Samanah, as well as popular resort venues such as the Amelkis Golf Club (image attached) situated in the city.
“There are eight quality courses in Marrakesh and with seven more being built in the next 12 months, the city offers a fantastic choice for travelling golfers,” said ClubstoHire CEO Tony Judge. “We’re here to help those golfers avoid heavy airline baggage charges by providing convenient and cost-effective access to some of the best equipment when booking a trip to Marrakesh.
“Temperatures tend to reach 100°F at the height of summer and there are around 300 days of sunshine in the space of 12 months, so golf is very much a year-round sport there,” added Judge.
The new Marrakesh service follows the recent introduction of a new rental opening at Costa Dorada (Reus airport), which became ClubstoHire’s fifth Spanish mainland location.
Other ClubstoHire locations include: Spain – Alicante, Girona, Gran Canaria, La Linea/Gibraltar, Palma, Malaga, Murcia & Tenerife; Portugal – Faro, Lagos & Lisbon; Cyprus – AphroditeHills; Turkey – Belek; South Africa – Cape Town; UK & Ireland – Edinburgh, Isle of Man, Dublin, Cork and Shannon.
