Carr Golf launches two Irish Pro Ams to mark double centenaries

Carr Golf website tournament pageCarr Golf, Ireland’s leading golf company, is launching two Pro Am events to be held in Ireland this year, which marks the centenaries of both the PGA of America and of the Irish State.

One Pro Am takes place in October in Northern Ireland playing Ardgass, Royal County Down and two rounds at Royal Portrush and is limited to sixteen teams of four.

The other Pro Am is being hosted in Killarney, Co. Kerry, in September, playing Waterville, Tralee, Dooks and two rounds at Ballybunion.

This is an unmissable opportunity to play the best links courses in the world. Enjoy a warm up round at the magnificent Ardglass Golf Club, followed by Royal County Down, ranked #1 course in the world by Golf Digest and two rounds at Royal Portrush, host to the 2019 Open Championship. Teams of four (1 PGA Professional and 3 amateurs) will compete with PGA Pros travelling for free including a $1,000 flight allowance and guaranteed prize money from a $10,000 prize fund. The field is limited to 16 teams and with 8 teams already confirmed, places are filling up fast.

The World Links Invitational Pro Am is a partnership between Carr Golf and friends at the Pinnacle Experience. The event comprises five rounds of world class Links golf to include Dooks/Killarney, Tralee, Waterville with two rounds at world renowned Ballybunion.

The event is based at the 5* Europe Hotel in Killarney and includes a robust programme with evening receptions, dinner functions, nightly entertainment and much more. The field will consist of fourteen eight-person teams (1 PGA Pro and 7 Amateurs), with the PGA Pro travelling free of charge including a flight allowance and being guaranteed a cheque.
