La Dolce Vita Orient Express, a partner of the 2025 Italian Open, which took place at Argentario Golf & Wellness last week, has announced two exclusive golf tours taking place in Italy later this year.

The exclusive itineraries combine the heritage of luxury train travel with the prestige of some of Italy’s most celebrated golf courses, while highlighting the country’s cultural and natural beauty.

Guests will travel on a replica of the world-famous Orient Express, La Dolce Vita Orient Express, the first Italian-made luxury train, which is aimed at reviving the glamour of the classic version as well as the romanticised notion of Italy’s dolce vita, or ‘sweet life’, all the while promoting slow tourism.

The train, the first of a fleet of six, is made up of 12 refurbished carriages that once travelled along Italian rail tracks in the 1960s and which have been decked out with 18 suites, 12 deluxe cabins, a bar, a lounge and a fine dining restaurant.

The dining car is overseen by a three Michelin-starred chef

The Northern Greens itinerary in October begins in Rome and heads north, while the Italian Swing in November heads south, travelling down through Tuscany to Puglia.

2023 Ryder Cup venue Marco Simone is featured on both golfing itineraries on board the Orient Express

The Italian Swing takes in rounds on some of Italy’s most famous courses, including Marco Simone Golf & Country Club in Rome, home of the 2023 Ryder Cup; San Domenico Golf in Puglia, venue for numerous top-flight professional events; The Club at Castiglion del Bosco in Tuscany, Italy’s only private golf club; and Antognolla Golf Club in Umbria, which boasts an award-winning Robert Trent Jones Jr designed course.

The second route, Northern Greens, departs from Rome in October (a second trip is planned for May 16-19, 2026), comprises four days and three nights aboard La Dolce Vita Orient Express, taking in rounds of golf at Marco Simone Golf & Country Club, Franciacorta Golf Club in Lombardy, Royal Park I Roveri near Turin, and Antognolla Golf Club.

Prices for these four-day, three-night trips, both of which depart from Rome, start from €16,500 per person for a deluxe cabin.
