10.11am 27th October 2020 - Travel

Al Mouj Golf in Oman has unveiled a range of holiday packages allowing golfers to experience the Greg Norman-designed championship under Covid-safe conditions.

Commenting on the measures put in place to ensure visitors safe return to Al Mouj Golf, Nasser Al Sheibani, CEO of Al Mouj, said: “Health and safety is our most important priority. Since our course re-opened over the summer, we have implemented precautionary measures to protect our staff, members and visitors from the spread of COVID-19, while monitoring the local, regional, and global health situation.

“The procedures we have in place follow government regulations and we are fortunate that golf is a sport that can be played socially distant. We look forward to welcoming as many visitors as possible over the coming months.”

Al Mouj Golf, which has hosted the European Tour’s Oman Open for the past three year, lies along a 2km stretch of coastline flanking the Indian Ocean. The course won the 2019 IAGTO sustainability award for community value, due to its unique biodiversity, with 173 different bird species situated on site.
