NBA champion Stephen Curry’s UNDERRATED Golf European Tour made its debut in Scotland last month, offering junior golfers from across Europe the opportunity to explore the Home of Golf and play in a two-day competition at Fairmont St Andrews.
The event, which was co-sponsored by The R&A and United Airlines, combined competition with education, giving participants exclusive insights into the golf industry. Players attended a panel discussion with The R&A team on careers in golf and enjoyed rare access to the Claret Jug and the AIG Women’s Open Trophy.
Competitors also toured Alan Robertson House, The R&A’s research and testing facility, and visited The R&A World Golf Museum to explore the game’s rich history. A walk along The Old Course, complete with photos on the iconic Swilcan Bridge, capped the cultural experience.

The highlight was a two-day, 36-hole tournament, where young golfers vied for the chance to represent Europe at the 2025 Curry Cup, which is being held at Liberty National Golf Club in Jersey City from September 12-14 and features the top 24 boys and girls from the US and European qualifying events.
Emerging as champions in Scotland were 17-year-old Aayan Dadabhoy of the UAE and 15-year-old England international Arianna Virik, who claimed the titles of top European boy and girl respectively.
Plus-two handicapper Dadabhoy, who is a student in Dubai and plays his golf at Jumeirah Golf Estates, shot rounds of 73 and 67 to win by three shots from runner-up Carl Daniel Agapito and seal his trip to New York.
Virik, who is a member of the Midlands Girls Squad and represents England at U16 level, fired rounds of 72 and 74 to finish on -2, two shots clear of 2025 Dutch Matchplay champion Frederique Evers and reigning Welsh Girls champion Morgan Bollan from Crewe. Virik, who is a member at Hearsall Golf Club in Coventry, sealed the win with an eagle on the 15th and a birdie on the 17th of the Kittocks course.
Both winners received their trophies from Sky Sports Golf presenter and former Ladies European Tour player Henni Zuël, who serves as an ambassador for The R&A and the UNDERRATED Golf European Tour.
