Stuburt, the British footwear experts founded in 1870, has announced its support of the newly-branded Darren Clarke Golf School.
Formerly the Junior Golf Academy, the Darren Clarke Golf School is the first and only full-time golf school in Ireland. With the benefit of Ryder Cup Vice Captain Darren Clarke’s involvement, the scheme, which provides a two-year full-time programme of development for aspiring young golfers aged 16 years and older, has undergone a re-branding exercise.
Stuburt have been supporters of Junior Golf for some time, but were keen to extend their association with the Junior Golf Programme in Northern Ireland when Brand Ambassador Clarke took a more active role. As a result Stuburt will be kitting out all 20 plus students on the programme from head-to-toe in their latest range of performance golf wear.
The news comes as Stuburt unveil a new collection of technical and performance golf wear for Spring/Summer 2011 and its Autumn/Winter 2010 is selling through in shops across the UK and Europe.
Designed with feedback from Stuburt’s tour players including Northern Ireland’s Gareth Maybin and Darren Clarke, the new collections builds on the success of the extremely popular and successful SS10 range of performance apparel, rainwear and footwear.
Ulsterman Clarke, who has been instrumental in the design of the much-coveted Stuburt DCC Classic golf shoe, committed his future to Stuburt by signing a new multi-year agreement earlier this year.
From lined sweaters to performance base layers, fleeces to rainwear, the new AW10 Stuburt apparel collection offers a wider range of stylish and technical sportswear for the modern golfer this winter. Utilising the most-advanced fashions, fabrics, designs and technologies, Stuburt continues to provide tour-performance apparel at competitive prices.
With ambassadors such as 2010 US Open Champion Graeme McDowell, European Tour rising star Gareth Maybin, Darren Clarke plus a host of Challenge Tour players, students of the Darren Clarke Golf School will get the opportunity to see first-hand why Stuburt is fast becoming the go-to brand amongst competitive golfers.
