The US and European 2016 Ryder Cup captains, Darren Clarke and Davis Love III, last week rang the Opening Bell at the Nasdaq MarketSite, New York. This appearance together was on behalf the Worldwide Partner of The Ryder Cup, Standard Life Investments.
The appearance was aired live and brings the captains together to look ahead to the Ryder Cup at Hazeltine in September when the matches begin. The Captains were accompanied at the opening of the markets by Nuala Walsh, Global Head of Marketing & Client Relations at Standard Life Investments, The Ryder Cup trophy and Pete Bevacqua, CEO of the PGA of America.
To mark the countdown to The Ryder Cup, the Standard Life Investments campaign, ‘World Class as Standard’, will take a detailed look at what it takes to deliver world-class performance. This will be told through an online video series which will include insight from both Ryder Cup Captains. In the period leading up to the US tournament, using three independent experts, the series will explore both the importance and the impact of analysis, performance and potential on ultimate sporting success.
The series, set to go live today (May 3rd) will see Matthew Syed, British Sports columnist of the year, 2016, offering his perspective on the correlation of high performance and sporting success; Bob Rotella will underscore the importance of psychology and Mark Broadie (author of Every Shot Counts) will decode the analytics of golf.
