QHotels becomes Official Hotel Partner of The Clutch Pro Tour

3.35pm 23rd May 2023 - Sponsorship & Events

The Clutch Pro Tour has brokered an agreement with The QHotels Collection to become the official hotel partner of Europe’s third tier professional tour for 2023.

In addition to the partnership, The QHotels Collection – the largest premier golf resort operator in the UK – will play host to two Clutch Pro Tour events this season.

Slaley Hall Hotel, Spa & Golf Resort will play host to an elevated event from 9-11 August, where an increased purse of £100,000 is on offer. The eventual winner will have to overcome the Hunting Course’s stern challenge if they are to earn victory during the special tournament.

Prior to the trip to Slaley Hall, Oulton Hall Hotel, Spa & Golf Resort will welcome the Clutch Pro Tour from 18-19 July. Slaley Hall has hosted notable events throughout its history, including more 20 European Tour, Senior Tour and PGA Cup events, with the most recent professional involvement coming from the PGA EuroPro Tour. Furthermore, Slaley Hall welcomed the Asian Tour in 2022, with the venue was the first to feature in the International Series in England.

Keith Pickard, Golf, Health Club & Spa Director at The QHotels Collection, is proud of the support that the hotel group is showing to developmental golf. He said: “Everyone at The QHotels Collection is thrilled to be involved with the Clutch Pro Tour and we look forward to hosting fantastic professional and amateur golfers alike.

“The support around developmental golf is currently lacking, which makes us exceptionally proud to champion this level of golf and provide a platform for young professionals to blossom. We would like to thank everyone at the Clutch Pro Tour and we are excited to see how the relationship develops across the season.”

Tom Hayward, co-founder of the Clutch Pro Tour, added: “We are delighted and excited to announce this partnership with The QHotels Collection. The vision is to deliver high profile events that support the development of European golfing talent, utilising the exceptional venues and facilities that The QHotels Collection have under their ownership. An important aspect of this partnership is to deliver a more diverse event portfolio, offering opportunities in new regions of the UK, rather than being focussed solely in the south of England.

“It has been incredibly refreshing to work with a team of people that are so willing and passionate about the development game; the endeavour for The QHotels Collection to provide our players with the best experiences has led to Slaley Hall being chosen for one of our flagship £100,000 events, the highest paid event in Europe at the third tier.”
