PowaKaddy sponsor National Champion Club Tournament

8.38am 23rd August 2011 - Sponsorship & Events

PowaKaddy has announced that once again it will be sponsoring the 2011 English Champion Club tournament as part of their continuing support of the English Golf Union.

The event will be played at Scarcroft Golf Club on 3rd – 4th September and will welcome the Team Champions from each county in England, as they come together in an attempt to become National Club Champions.

The tournament is competed for over 36-holes of scratch competition, as three players from each club who represent 32 different counties, count all scores every day towards their total. The intensity of the competition always attracts a high-quality field.

“We are thrilled to support the English Golf Union and its Champion Club tournament in this unique national championship,” commented Simon Homer, Sales Director of PowaKaddy. “A large percentage of PowaKaddy users are single figure handicappers, so we’re excited to be so heavily involved in one of the most important tournaments of their year.”

PowaKaddy, who introduced the superbly engineered PowaKaddy SPORT which combines the latest lightweight and super strength materials with a powerful 200 Watt motor, earlier this year, continue to push boundaries and set the precedent for its competitors in the electric trolley market in terms quality, design and performance.

Supplying the winners of this year’s Champion Club each with a brand-new PowaKaddy SPORT, and the runners-up with top-of-the-range Deluxe IV Cart Bags, the company demonstrates continued support to the amateur golfer. In addition this year PowaKaddy will be offering all competitors the chance to enter a prize to win their very own PowaKaddy SPORT.
