8.48am 22nd June 2009 - Sponsorship & Events

The English Golf Captains (EGC), a national programme offering exclusive benefits and opportunities to past and present club and county captains, is delighted to announce PING’s continued support. Yet again PING is providing a wealth of great prizes for the EGC tournaments that comprise of five qualifiers and the Captain’s Final.

Each year the EGC programme continues to go from strength to strength. Due to the success of last year’s events, this year has seen a strong increase in interest of the EGC resulting in record membership levels of past and present Captains. The enthusiasm to play has meant the EGC Championship has had to increase the number of qualifying tournaments. All golfers want is the best chance to qualify for the Final which this year is being held at Forest Pines, Lincolnshire on 5th – 6th September 2009.

Rick Stanton from PING said, “PING Europe is very pleased to continue our support of the English Golf Captains Tournaments and the EGU for the 2009 season and we wish the all the competitors well in this year’s tournaments.”

Paul Keeling, EGU Club Services Manager said, “We are delighted to be working with PING again this year. The feedback from the Captain’s programme was so positive last year and we know they particularly appreciated PING’s support and the outstanding value of the prizes they gave.”
