American Kevin Na used Titleist‘s Pro V1x golf ball to capture his fifth PGA Tour title at the Sony Open in Hawaii.
Rallying from three shots behind heading into the last six holes, Na birdied four of that closing stretch to reach a tournament winning total of 21-under and claim a one-shot victory – elevating him to 23rd in the world rankings.
With Na’s victory, Titleist golf ball players have now won 10 of the first 14 events on the 2020-21 PGA Tour season. Moreover, of the 144 players in the field in Hawaii, 108 (75%) used a Pro V1 or Pro V1x.
There was more notable success for Titleist golf ball players this week as Chris Kirk (new Pro V1x), entering the week needing a two-way tie for third or better to secure full status, birdied the 72nd hole to finish tied for second, securing his full playing status for the rest of the 2020-21 season.
In addition to the ball success, Titleist’s TSi was the most played driver at the Sony Open in Hawaii with 43 of the 47 being new TSi2, TSi3 or TSi4 models – 14 of which were without a sponsorship agreement.
