11.33am 14th August 2020 - Sponsorship & Events

The Loch Lomond Whiskies Scottish PGA Championship – the Tartan Tour’s flagship event – is heading back to Deer Park Golf & Country Club after a 30-year hiatus.

PGA Partners Loch Lomond Whiskies are the headline sponsors for the 2020 tournament, which will be held on September 1-4.

The event was last held at Deer Park in 1990 where Ross Drummond won the coveted title for a fourth time in five years.

David Longmuir, PGA Scotland Manager, commented: “We are delighted to be taking the Loch Lomond Whiskies Scottish PGA Championship back to Deer Park after a gap of 30 years.  This has been an enormously challenging year for everyone in the golf industry and we are hugely indebted to our new sponsors, Loch Lomond Whiskies, and to John Muir and the staff at Deer Park who have been tremendous supporters of The PGA over many years.”

Loch Lomond Whiskies is a PGA Partner

Deer Park has been a regular venue on the Tartan Tour, having hosted the Deer Park Masters for a number of years.  John Muir, owner of Deer Park, said: “We are over the moon to welcome the Loch Lomond Whiskies Scottish PGA Championship to Deer Park. This event following the Deer Park Masters with The PGA is an incredible achievement for the club.”

Colin Matthews, Chief Executive Officer at Loch Lomond Whiskies, added: “We are delighted to become the title sponsor of the Loch Lomond Whiskies Scottish PGA Championship. We now have sponsorships in place across a number of different golf properties including our association with The R&A for our sponsorship of The Open and The Women’s British Open, as well as our latest partnership with The European Tour, with Loch Lomond Whiskies becoming the official spirit partner of the UK Swing. We look forward to supporting The PGA in driving a successful event at Deer Park, to showcasing our award-winning range of Single Malt Scotch whiskies and further cementing our position as the spirit of golf.”
