The Ladies European Tour will be heading to Mauritius for the first time in its history when it heads to the Indian Ocean island for the MCB Ladies Classic in 2026.

A field of 120 players will be vying for the inaugural title in a 54-hole stroke play competition from May 1-3, 2026 on the Legend Course at Constance Belle Mare Plage.

There will be a cut to the top 60 professionals and ties, with a prize fund of €400,000 and Official World Golf Ranking points, LET Order of Merit points and Solheim Cup qualification points will be on offer.

The Legend Course, which was designed by South African champion Hugh Baiocchi, was opened in 1994 and was the Constance Belle Mare Plage’s first championship golf course set along one of the most beautiful beaches in Mauritius.

The island is no stranger to professional golf tournaments with the venue so far having hosted 14 editions of the MCB Tour Championship on the Legends Tour from 2009 until 2024.

Alexandra Armas, CEO of the LET, said: “We are excited to bring Europe’s best female golfers to Mauritius for the very first time. I would like to thank MCB and Constance Hotels & Resorts for their vision in making this tournament happen. The Legend Course has previously hosted the Legends Tour and is an excellent championship course in a beautiful setting, and we look forward to showcasing women’s golf at this great venue.”

Jean-Jacques Vallet, CEO of Constance Hospitality, commented: “We are honoured to host an international tournament like the MCB Ladies Classic – Mauritius. This world-class event represents a major opportunity to shine a global spotlight on the natural beauty and appeal of Mauritius as a premier golf destination.

“Broadcast to millions of passionate golf fans and enthusiasts around the world, it will also highlight the excellence of our championship courses at Constance Belle Mare Plage and our expertise in delivering world-class sporting experiences with passion, dedication, and authenticity.”

Jean Michel Ng Tseung, CEO of MCB Group, said: “We are delighted to team up with our long-standing partner, Constance Hotels, and the Ladies European Tour to bring the MCB Ladies Classic – Mauritius, to our shores. This is a significant milestone as we endeavour to continuously promote the exposure of Mauritius as a world class golf destination on the international scene.  We are committed to supporting the growth of golf in Mauritius and contributing to its international recognition on the global stage.”
