Golf glove engineers HIRZL of Switzerland have made a decisive move to support the Ladies European Tour (LET) in 2011 by making it easier for LET players to get their hands on the ground-breaking gloves.

Dubai-based Elisabeth Esterl takes on the role of LET brand ambassador for HIRZL with immediate effect. The decision to begin targeting Tour players follows an extraordinary official debut for HIRZL at the PGA Merchandise Show in Orlando last January.

The event saw HIRZL as the official glove sponsor for the all-important Demo Day, in addition to making it to the unofficial status of media darling of the five-day event. golf commentators welcomed the HIRZL technology as likely the most significant technological development of the coming season.

“We were overwhelmed by the trade and media response to our gloves in Orlando,” explains HIRZL CEO Bagher Pirouz. “We left Orlando on such a high that even before we got off the homeward plane in Switzerland we decided we were going to launch a more visible Tour presence.

“We were aware of Elisabeth Esterl’s presence on Tour and she is the ideal professional and commercial ambassador to take HIRZL forward by supporting the Ladies European Tour in a very practical way.”

Esterl kicks off her 2011 season at the Turkish Ladies Open May 5th (National Golf Club, Belek, Antalya, Turkey).
