Leading apparel brand Galvin Green has extended its sponsorship of rising Tour star Laurie Canter for the forthcoming season after the Englishman finished the European Tour’s 2020 Race to Dubai inside the top 20.
The 31-year-old from Bath moved up 25 places to end last season in 19th spot with his tied fifth place at the DP World Tour Championship in Dubai, where he was among the leaders going into the final round.
It rounded off an impressive five months for the former Challenge Tour player, who recorded the European Tour’s lowest round of the year – shooting 60 (-12) at the Italian Open in October. Ranked outside the world’s top 500 before August, he achieved four top-five finishes over the latter stages of the Tour schedule to take his world ranking up to 132.

Canter was ranked 20th in the European Tour’s driving distance averages at over 315 yards and leads the ‘Strokes Gained off the Tee to Green’ stats at 0.89 across the 58 tournaments he has played to date.
