Galvin Green player Boulden secures debut LET win

1.23pm 15th September 2020 - Sponsorship & Events

Welsh golfer Amy Boulden won her maiden Ladies European Tour title with a blistering final round of 8-under in the VP Bank Swiss Ladies Open on Saturday wearing the latest Galvin Green VENTIL8 PLUS clothing.

Boulden, who regained her Ladies European Tour card with a final stage victory at Qualifying School this year, was bogey-free over the last 36 holes and finished -17 for the 54-hole tournament. In the final round, she took the lead with an impressive outward score of 31, before staying composed over the closing holes to win her first Tour title by 3-shots.

Playing in warm temperatures of 25° at altitude, Boulden began the final round one shot off the lead. She chose to wear the stylish combination of a MIEYA shirt and NIKI skort in Black. Designed with excellent breathability and moisture-wicking properties, the MIREYA shirt is made from VENTIL8 PLUS stretch fabric and offers UV20+ protection. The same fabric benefits are found with the NIKKI skort that incorporates inner shorts. Without any visible seams, the skort also features distinctive piping details on the front pockets.

“This win will give me great confidence and I look forward to being in more positions where I’m competing for titles in the future,” said Boulden, who became a Team Galvin Green player two years ago. “It has been one of my goals this year to get back into contention and see how I handle the pressure. Now I’m looking forward to the next chapter.”

Galvin Green has turned to the ‘Science of Excellence’ for inspiration for its 2020 Part Two clothing range that incorporates Boulden’s choice of garments on Tour. Bluesign-approved fabrics ensure sustainability across the range.

The premium AURORA waterproof jacket in GORE-TEX fabric has a two-way front zipper and a lightweight mesh lining for extra warmth and comes in Navy/White and Deep Pink/White, while the ARISSA offers an alternative style in Cool Grey/White and Black/Silver. The lightweight GORE-TEX Paclite® stretch fabric range features the AINO jacket in three colourways, including Deep Pink/White/Silver. Matching ultra-lightweight ALEXANDRA 100% waterproof pants come in four colours, including Moonlight Blue.

The INTERFACE-1 range of Hybrid windproof and water-repellent jackets that the brand recommends being worn on 95 out of 100 rounds has been expanded to include the new LORENE padded jacket in Navy, Deep Pink, Cool Grey and Black with a warming effect #3 comfort level. Also featured is the new LESLIE in an INTERFACE-1 stretch fabric with a warming effect #2 comfort level. It comes with a full zip and front pockets in five colourways, including Steel Grey/White/Iron Grey and Azalea/White. LEONORE is another full-zip windproof jacket in Cool Grey and Deep Pink.

Among the latest sweaters in soft INSULA stretch fabric which also now offer three comfort levels, are the DIANE hoodie (Azalea Pink and Black) and the sporty DAVINA full-zip sweater with two front pockets zippers and made 100% from recycled plastic bottles in Deep Pink/White, Navy/White & Black/White. The DINA half-zip features eco-friendly Lyocell inside the fibre for extra comfort in Navy, Blush Pink, Light Grey and Black.

The latest women’s range is completed by seven styles of long and short sleeved shirts, pants, skorts and shorts, Thermal vests and leggings, plus matching accessories.
