Elijah Craig, the official bourbon supplier of the Ryder Cup, has launched a limited release of a small batch bourbon packaged to commemorate the upcoming matches in Rome.
Earlier this year, Elijah Craig announced a multi-year partnership which makes the bourbon brand the ‘Official Bourbon’ and a worldwide supplier of the biennial competition.
Elijah Craig is credited with being the first distiller to char oak barrels to make Bourbon, thus becoming known as “The Father of Bourbon”. Today Heaven Hill Master Distillers’ expertise and attention to detail give Elijah Craig Small Batch the right balance of full body and rich flavour.
Each Small Batch carries a signature warm spice and subtle smoke flavour which belongs in any whiskey fan’s regular rotation. Bottled at 94 proof, Elijah Craig Small Batch has a delightfully complex aroma with notes of vanilla bean, sweet fruit and fresh mint. Tasting notes include an initial woodiness on the palate accented by spice, smoke and nutmeg. The finish is long, sweet and slightly toasty.

Each 70cl bottle will be adorned with a neck label featuring the Ryder Cup trophy, a tag detailing the partnership between Elijah Craig Bourbon and the Ryder Cup, and a face label prominently featuring the “Official Bourbon” designation and Ryder Cup logo.

Dry shake all ingredients together and serve in a rocks glass with a brandied cherry garnish.

50ml Elijah Craig Small Batch | 10ml Demerara Sugar Syrup | 3 Dashes of Orange Bitters
Pour ingredients into a rocks glass with ice. Stir for 30 seconds until chilled and garnish with an orange peel twist.
