ECCO GOLF signs rising German stars

10.54am 18th January 2023 - Sponsorship & Events

ECCO GOLF has signed German pro golfers Esther Henseleit and Freddy Schott as brand ambassadors.

Both players will be wearing shoes from ECCO GOLF’s SS23 collection when they begin their 2023 seasons.

For three-time Tour winner Henseleit, her 2023 season starts on February 2, when she will be teeing up at the LET’s Magical Kenya Ladies Open, a tournament she has won twice and where she is the defending champion. During her title defence, Henseleit will benefit from the 60-degree breathability of ECCO products. “I can’t wait to get started in 2023. ECCO GOLF shoes are incredibly comfortable, and the process of getting used to them has been seamless,” she commented.

Freddy ‘The Shot’ Schott is a rising star in the game. In 2021, at the age of just 19, he turned professional, fought his way onto the Challenge Tour and subsequently enjoyed a successful first season on the tour in 2022.

During that season, he had a series of fine results, culminating in his first professional win at the Frederikshavn Challenge in Denmark. Schott finished the season in 9th place on the Challenge Tour, securing his DP World Tour card at the age of just 21.

“Having the opportunity to take the next step in my career with such a strong global partner like ECCO GOLF by my side makes me very proud. I can’t wait to get started with the partnership this season,” said Schott.

For Michael Waack, Head of Global Golf at ECCO, it is fantastic to add two more German golfers to the ranks at ECCO GOLF, alongside Solheim Cup player Caro Masson. “We have been following the journeys of both Esther and Freddy with great interest. It’s a great honour for us to be able to support two young starlets as they take the next steps through their career,” he commented.
