Renowned Danish shoemaker ECCO announces the extension of its endorsement agreement with nine-time PGA Tour winner Stuart Appleby, who will compete in the newly-introduced Comfort Classic model, appear at company functions and continue to showcase the brand’s logo on his shirt collar.

Earlier this year, Appleby became only the fifth player in PGA Tour history to shoot a 59 in competition en route to his victory at the Greenbrier Classic. Additional highlights of the 39-year-old’s stellar career include back-to-back-to-back wins at the Mercedes Championships and representing the International Team in five Presidents Cup competitions.

“Stuart is a true citizen of the game who is respected worldwide for his positive attitude and proven ability to beat top competition,” says Jesper Thuen, Sponsor and Event Manager, ECCO Golf. “His final-round 59 at the Greenbrier Classic was a truly remarkable feat accomplished in our luxurious World Class GTX shoes. We’re looking forward to him competing, and continuing to win, in the Comfort Classic.”

ECCO golf shoes are also worn in competition by scores of international Tour stars, including Fred Couples, Graeme McDowell, Aaron Baddeley, Thomas Bjorn, Thongchai Jaidee, Bradley Dredge, Thorbjørn Olesen, Andreas Hartø, Jennifer Johnson and many others.
