Championship Miniature Golf has announced that The Golf Foundation, the leading golf charity committed to the sporting and social development of young people through golf, will become its nominated charity.

The miniature golf developer will be raising funds for the charity by donating a substantial percentage of its income from its flagship site in Manchester during the week of each of the four Majors.  The initiative begins with this year’s Open at Royal St Georges.

Nick Ashfield, Director at Championship Miniature Golf Ltd said, “This initiative has a nice tie in with the four major golf tournaments as our miniature courses are all inspired by the great holes from these world famous courses.”

Mike Round, Chief Executive of The Golf Foundation commented,  “Obviously, I’m aware of Championship Miniature Golf’s commitment to promoting

golf to children and young people, and the introduction of this initiative makes a very clear statement about their desire to not only develop junior golf around its facilities, but to also contribute to the ‘bigger picture’.

Nick went on to comment: “We want to help as much as we can in supporting the fine work that The Golf Foundation does.  Their initiatives are invaluable in helping drive participation in the game and it is a cause close to our hearts as well.”

Championship Miniature Golf is unique in the sense that it designs an exciting, all family golfing attraction as well as incorporating an educational theme to give the player an innovative insight into the rules, etiquette and definitions of the real game.
