The Challenge Tour has unveiled its global schedule for the 2025 season which will consist of 29 tournaments held in 18 different countries and a record total prize fund of €9m.
The 2025 Road to Mallorca schedule begins in South Africa for the fifth consecutive year with the SDC Open at the end of January, the first of four co-sanctioned events with the Sunshine Tour.
The Challenge Tour returns to India in March with back-to-back events beginning with the Kolkata Challenge, which will again be played at Royal Calcutta – the oldest golf club in India and the first outside of Great Britain, followed by the Delhi Challenge at Classic Golf & Country Club.
The Road to Mallorca heads to the United Arab Emirates in April for the UAE Challenge, which will take place at Al Zorah Golf Club in Ajman for the first time, followed by the Abu Dhabi Challenge as part of the European Tour group’s long-term partnership with the Emirates Golf Federation.
The Challenge Tour will visit Spain in May for the 26th edition of the Challenge de España, which will kick-start a run of 18 tournaments in 20 weeks and weave through 14 countries in Europe.
The Italian Challenge Open returns to Golf Nazionale, the former Junior Ryder Cup venue, while the Swiss Challenge heads back to Golf Sempachersee where it was previously held between 2010 and 2019.
A host of new venues also feature on the 2025 schedule. The Danish Golf Challenge heads to Bogense Golf Club, the Indoor Golf Group Challenge will now take place at Upsala Golf Club, while the Irish Challenge and Farmfoods Scottish Challenge supported by The R&A will be played at Killeen Castle and SCHLOSS Roxburghe respectively.
The Road to Mallorca returns to China for back-to-back events in October, the Hainan Open followed by the Hangzhou Open, which offers a final opportunity to tee it up in the Rolex Challenge Tour Grand Final supported by The R&A.
The end of season showpiece will take place in Mallorca from October 30 – November 2, as the top 45 players on the rankings battle it out for one of the 20 DP World Tour cards.
Those players who benefit from this formal pathway to the DP World Tour will then be eligible for the DP World Tour’s Earnings Assurance Programme, guaranteeing them minimum earnings of $150,000 for the 2026 season if they play in 15 or more events.
The top five graduates will also benefit from the John Jacobs Bursary, similarly designed to provide security and a strong platform for their first season on the European Tour group’s top tier.

Last season, 16 of the 21 Challenge Tour graduates kept their DP World Tour card and three of them – Matteo Manassero, Jesper Svensson and Frederic Lacroix, earned victories on the 2024 Race to Dubai.
Six of the 2023 Challenge Tour graduates also finished inside the top 50 on the Race to Dubai Rankings in Partnership with Rolex, while Manassero and Svensson earned dual membership with the PGA TOUR for 2025.
