Awesome Golf sponsors British Junior Golf Tour

Awesome Golf, the golf simulator software company, has become a principal sponsor of The British Junior Golf Tour (BJGT), a DP World Tour-approved Golf Development Programme.

Awesome Golf will also be the main event sponsor of the second edition of the BJGT European Open. Both organisations are invested in providing exceptional golfing experiences for boys and girls that enable them to gain confidence and have fun whilst perfecting their game, making this the ideal partnership.

BJGT provides player development opportunities for boys and girls aged 5 to 18 years through its extensive event schedule, which runs in the UK and Europe. Boys and girls play in age divisions, from age-appropriate yardages, against their peer groups, to maximise juniors’ potential to develop their skills and experience competitive golf.

Following the success of the inaugural BJGT European Open last summer,  the 3-day international event will return to Le Touquet Golf Resort, a premier golf venue in Northern France, from August  11–13.  Entries close on July 1 – see full details by visiting the BJGT tournament booking platform: Schedule | British Junior Golf.

“Hundreds of young people and their families take part in the BJGT each month, which shows how valuable this tour has become,” comments founder of Awesome Golf Gavin Hamer.  “Having the chance to meet new people and become part of the golf community are just as important as building confidence and skill levels.  We are partnering with the BJGT because we believe that what they are doing is crucial and we are proud to play our part in these young people’s journey.”

Awesome Golf software includes a range of playing options including fun games, driving range practice and shot analysis as well as golf courses.  All have a fun element with players having the option to play from five different tee positions, making the courses accessible and engaging for beginners and challenging for more experienced players. The tees are also optimized for junior golfers, with the shortest tee position eliminating hazards, and providing a fun experience for shorter hitters. Game modes are available in three settings to suit all playing abilities.

“The British Junior Golf Tour has junior golf at its heart and we aim to increase and improve the opportunities for young golfers to show just how good they are,” comments BJGT Director Neil Randall. “We are proud to be playing a small role in establishing each youngster’s lifelong passion for golf, which is why we are so pleased to be partnering with Awesome Golf.  They have created a fantastic platform to play, develop, and learn at the same time, and we know that our players will love it.”

The software is available to download on iOS, Android and PC. To start a 14-day free trial and experience the new championship courses, visit www.awesome-golf.com
