Nick Faldo watchLuxury Swiss watch brand Jaermann & Stübi – The Timepiece of Golf – is offering golf fans the ultimate wrist accessory in the form of a new limited-edition range crafted from the very golf clubs that powered golfing legend Sir Nick Faldo to victory at the Los Angeles Open in 1997, his last tournament win as a professional golfer.

There are only 72 pieces available of the limited edition, Faldo Series 1 watch, which is priced at £18,200. In addition to the nostalgic element, which would appeal to all golf fans, the watch possesses some unique golfing functionality, patented by Jaermann & Stübi. This includes mechanisms for recording the strokes per hole and per round, and the ability to compare scores against handicap. The sophisticated nature of the golf counter system can be compared to a mechanical chronograph, with movement protected from impact by an in-built shock absorber.

The Faldo Series range comes on the back of a limited edition run of 50 watches, forged from the irons of the late and great Seve Ballesteros, which sold out within just a few weeks. The currently available Seve Ballesteros II model, priced at £14,700, is equipped with an automatic movement as well as course timer and GMT functions. Each watch is individually numbered and the iron used for the watch case is engraved on the back. A certificate signed by Seve also attests to the authenticity of the irons used.

The Jaermann & Stübi brand focuses on high-quality chronometers with additional functionality for golfers and is the official licensee of St Andrews Links, the home of golf. The St Andrews Links range of course timers starts at £5,200.
