The Golf Heritage Society elected Dr. Bern Bernacki president and Bob Muir vice president at the Society’s 50th Anniversary National Convention, held recently in Monroeville, Pa. Bernacki will be serving his third one-year term as president. Both Bernacki and Muir are long time GHS members who have held a variety of leadership roles in the organisation.
“It is a privilege and a pleasure to serve as president of the Society,” said Bernacki. “As the GHS continues to grow and expand its programming and offerings, we look forward to creating new opportunities for learning about and appreciating all that golf has to offer.”
In addition, four new members were inducted into the GHS Hall of Fame at a ceremony at the national convention: Pete Georgiady, Dr. Michael Hurdzan, Glenn Moore and Bill Reed.
Founded in 1970, the GHS is a global non-profit organization that honours and promotes golf’s history. The annual membership fee is $50. For information or to join the GHS, visit GolfHeritage.org
