Seve Collection named Official Licensee of the 2027 Ryder Cup

Capsule apparel collection to launch ahead of centenary edition of the Ryder Cup.

Seve Collection, the golf apparel brand inspired by the life, passion and legacy of Severiano Ballesteros, has been appointed an Official Licensee of the 2027 Ryder Cup at Adare Manor, marking the event’s historic centenary edition.

The brand will release a limited Ryder Cup capsule apparel collection through a select group of golf venues and other locations across Europe in the lead-up to the match, taking place from September 13–19, 2027.

The collection will carry official Ryder Cup branding and feature a curated range of polos, mid-layers, caps and beanies. Designed through the lens of European team identity, the range draws directly from Ballesteros’ personal style, blending elegance with edge, and reinterprets the codes of the Ryder Cup competition into modern, wearable styles. Subtle internal detailing and storytelling elements embedded within each garment reflect Seve’s enduring presence in the European team culture.

The 2027 Ryder Cup marks 100 years since the first contest and returns to Ireland for the first time since 2006, a moment that reflects both the heritage and the continued evolution of the European game. Few players shaped that identity more than Ballesteros. The Ryder Cup defined Seve, and in turn, Seve redefined what the Ryder Cup became following Europe’s expansion in 1979.

Ballesteros made eight Ryder Cup appearances, winning five times, four as a player and once as captain, and was central to Europe’s breakthrough victory in 1985 and the first win on American soil in 1987. He later captained Europe to victory at Valderrama in 1997, the first Ryder Cup held in continental Europe.

Seve Collection was founded to carry that spirit forward – the flair, the imagination and the refusal to accept limits. The brand creates ‘accessible premium’ golf apparel that reflects Seve’s values: elegance without arrogance, quality without compromise, and a deep, unshakeable love for the game. More than a heritage brand, it exists to make that legacy relevant for a new generation of players.

Fredric Kaijser, Head of Sales of Seve Collection, said: “The Ryder Cup doesn’t just belong to history, it belongs to the players who had the courage to change it. Seve was one of them. Bringing his name back into the event for its centenary is about carrying that mindset forward, not looking back. This capsule is built the same way he played the game, with conviction, creativity and the confidence to do things differently.”

Isabella Pidgley, Head of Retail and Licensing, Ryder Cup Europe, said: “The legend of Seve Ballesteros is weaved through the very fabric of the Ryder Cup. It feels only right therefore that the Seve Collection will play a role in our official licensee programme for 2027, as golf’s greatest team contest celebrates its historic 100th anniversary milestone.”

A detail within the capsule references Ballesteros’ lasting presence within the European team. At the 2025 Ryder Cup at Bethpage Black, players wore garments marked internally with a tribute to Seve, a gesture now reinterpreted as a subtle signature across the 2027 capsule.

Seve Collection is inviting a select number of venues in Great Britain, Ireland and Spain to become founding stockists of the capsule. Founding partners will receive early access to the collection, alongside exclusive product allocations and storytelling assets tied to the launch.
