Ryder Cup Experience In The Heart of Paris

8.33pm 27th September 2018 - Ryder Cup Business

The Ryder Cup ‘downtown experience’ has been open for a week already outside the Hotel de Ville in central Paris. At 3,200 square metres which is full of activities from tee to green as well as means to communicate the excitement of the Ryder Cup, this fan experience is one of the most ambitious designs and build that Provision Events (PVE) has undertaken.

“Provision Events have brought a great deal of international experience to the delivery of the fan zone, which was officially inaugurated by the Deputy Mayor last week. The Sports Minister also came to visit the village and congratulated the French Golf Federation for the quality of the facilities. She even took her first ever golf lesson here!

“The number and variety of people coming to the experience is incredible. Around 3,000 people are trying golf here every day, taking lessons with the Pros on site. We’re going to be showing the Ryder Cup action live here when the event starts and with the excellent weather forecast we expect to attract even bigger crowds!” said Olivier Denis-Massé – Directeur Délégue Communication, Médias, Marketing et Partenariats, Licence, French Golf Federation

“The Ryder Cup is undoubtedly the most highly anticipated event in the golf calendar, so we are really delighted to be working with the French Golf Federation to deliver the downtown activation as well as the First Tee Experience at Le Golf National.

“The activities in central Paris have been designed to encourage as many people as possible to take part and experience every element of the game from tee to green.  The location is incredible and, because it has such a huge amount of traffic, it is attracting a lot of people who would not necessarily every have had the chance to pick up a golf club before,” said Nick Clemens, Founder & Managing Partner, Provision Events.
