Glenmuir records road to Ryder Cup glory in corporate film

Glenmuir has unveiled a short video montage that charts the company’s involvement with the 2023 Ryder Cup in Rome in its capacity as a partner of the European team. 

Glenmuir and Sunderland of Scotland have been one of the longest standing partners of The Ryder Cup, having provided Ryder Cup Shirts and Knitwear to the European team on their first win on American soil in 1987.

Some members of the 87-strong Glenmuir team in Lanark are featured in the film [which can be seen here] which provides an fascinating insight in to the ‘team behind the team’ and the passion, expertise and hard work it takes to prepare for one of the most watched sporting events in the world.

Glenmuir were also proud to be the Official Team Outfitter of the winning Junior European Ryder Cup Team which was captained by former Ryder Cup player and Glenmuir ambassador Stephen Gallacher.

The film captures the essence of the planning, preparation and execution of delivering a successful Ryder Cup merchandise programme in the run up and during event week. It gives the viewer a first-hand insight into the process Glenmuir’s Lanark team go through for each and every piece of Official Ryder Cup merchandise, from crafting and embroidering, to transporting, right through to merchandising, customer service, replenishing stock and finally selling through.

The success with Official Ryder Cup Merchandise which Glenmuir achieved during the 2023 Ryder Cup comes on the back of a record-breaking 270,000 people from 100 different countries attending across The Ryder Cup week at Marco Simone, while Ryder Cup-related social media impressions totalled more than 600 million, while Sky Sports UK reported a 38% rise in viewing figures for the event.
