Titleist creates new partnership manager role

3.29pm 20th May 2025 - Retail

Titleist has announced the appointment of Matthew Allanson to the newly created position of Partnership Manager, a role aimed at reinforcing and expanding the brand’s retail relationships throughout the UK.

This strategic addition underscores Titleist’s commitment to PGA Professionals and retail partners, recognising their integral role in the brand’s on-going success.

Allanson has been with Titleist since 2020, most recently serving as Area Sales Manager for the South-Central region. In this new role, Allanson will be responsible for developing long-term, mutually beneficial partnerships with retail and trade partners.

“Our relationship with the PGA Professional continues to be at the core of our fundamentals,” said Allanson. “We would not be able to celebrate our leadership position in the marketplace without the endless contributions our trade partners have made to the Titleist brand. Having the opportunity to help shape a future rooted in mutual respect and shared goals, ensuring our partners feel valued and appreciated is my ideal job description.”

Allanson brings a wealth of experience to the position, having built his career on both sides of the industry. A PGA Professional who trained at Sand Martins Golf Club in Berkshire, Allanson spent five years in Dubai working at Al Badia Golf Club and The European Tour Performance Institute at Jumeirah Golf Estates. He later returned to the UK as Head Professional at Sand Martins before joining Titleist.

“Having worked directly with golfers for over 17 years, I understand the challenges and needs faced by PGA Professionals and retailers,” Allanson said. “That experience enables me to approach this role with empathy and insight, and I’m excited to help shape partnerships that add real value.”

The new role will also involve close collaboration with Titleist’s ambassador network and key industry stakeholders, as well as support for the wider sales team.

“The golf landscape has changed significantly in recent years, and we are continually learning about new businesses operating in the industry. I want to provide a platform for retailers to offer feedback on how we, as a brand, can collaborate to support them and the dedicated golfer more effectively. Putting myself back into the shoes of the PGA Professional, I think it’s exciting to have an opportunity to shape the future of our partnerships and evolve them even further to deliver value for their businesses.”
