PRG acquires US distribution amid plans to expand US operations

5.05pm 23rd January 2024 - Retail

PRG, one of the world’s leading suppliers of high-quality bespoke golf accessories, has acquired the US distribution rights from distributor PRG Americas.

Effective from January 15, PGA Professional Stephen Riley, founder of PRG, will lead the newly formed PRG Golf Inc, which will take on responsibility for all US sales, both on and off-course.

“This is an extremely exciting opportunity for PRG,” said Riley. “We would like to thank Trevor Sanders and John Barron for their help in building the PRG brand in the US market over the past 12 years. They have been great partners and we’re excited to be picking up the baton to help take the brand to the next level.”

PRG first partnered with PRG Americas in 2011 to help expand the brand’s US distribution and working together they have helped expand PRG’s reach to over 3,500 golf retail accounts across the country driving awareness of the brand to new heights.

Sanders will remain part of the newly formed PRG Golf Inc, as a shareholder, while PRG

Americas staff and offices have been retained to ensure continuity for all US, Mexico and Caribbean customers.

“To establish our own offices in the USA is a big step for us as a business and something I always dreamed of doing when we first established the PRG brand in Northern Ireland back in 2006,” said Riley. “Our goal is to grow our footprint in the US market. By adding additional resource and expanding our US sales team, we plan to build on the excellent work PRG Americas has done. We have exciting new products for 2024 and exciting new plans for the brand.”

PRG is exhibiting at this week’s PGA Show in Orlando at booth #3063.
